After a two day jury trial in Orleans Parish Criminal District Court, defendant Shun Tiffith was acquitted on all charges. Police argued that the drugs found at the target address were in the possession of Mr. Tiffith however the Jury did not agree.
“Where is the evidence?” attorney Robert Hjortsberg said in his closing argument. “There were no photos, no video, no DNA, no fingerprints, nothing linking my client to what was allegedly found in that home. The only thing we can say beyond a reasonable doubt about this case is that the NOPD needs to do a better job with their investigations. “
